What a fantastic week Lisa and I had in Alsace. Early spring meant crisp mornings and sunny afternoons. Strangely, we were content to just admire the many vineyards and wine cellars we passed through. No stops for tasting - but we made up for that in the evenings with some great meals at very fine hotels and restaurants. All part of the package!

I loved the Hotel Logis places as the people who run them are family and are so friendly and the food was delicious.
Overall very good directions and the route was fabulous. We loved the small towns and quiet rural scenic roads. You did a very good job on route selection.
Bikes were outstanding. We liked them very much.
The route was more hilly than I thought but that was OK with me as I like some hills and the views from the ridges and hilltops were magnificent. |

The hotels were perfect for our needs, food was truly first rate, some of the hotels were a little worn out but not uncomfortably so e.g in one, the shower unit was broken but we still managed.
Simply wonderful food. We are planning a trip to Tuscany next year and if we get food of the same standard, we will be delighted.
Bikes were very effective but we may bring our own next year just for the additional pleasure of using what we are used to. But the bikes were not heavy and were in good condition.
You just seemed more knowledgeable and flexible and were clearly customer friendly. We truly got the sense of being with a professional group that also happened to offer good value. |

| A personal recommendation is the main reason that made us choose Cyclomundo . We also liked that you offer more challenging tours for serious cyclists. |

The desk clerks were excellent! They all spoke english and were very helpful with restaurant or points of interest directions.
- The hotels were historic and had a lot of character.
- Motels were easy to find with the instructions given.
- Motels always had out luggage ready when we checked in.
- France does have some cultural practices that we had to get use to. The motels locked down at 10:00 in the evening. I checked in late one night and almost was locked out.
Restaurants used were very good. As long as I tried to speak a little French they were very good speaking English!
I am glad I read the tour books about French dining. The culture, costs, and times of dining took some getting use to. I had some difficulty with the afternoon closure. During our ride we sometimes came to a town after the resturants and stores were closed.
The rental bikes were comfortable and easy shifting. |

All of the hotels were charming and very well located to be able to enjoy the town we were staying. The best meal was in Chenonceaux and the innkeeper was delightful.
Hybrid bikes were really the only appropriate bikes for this itinerary as it included forest trails, field paths, unpaved roads, etc.
This is the second year we have travelled with Cyclomundo and we were so satisfied last year, we wanted another experience. I have referred many people your way. |

| We celebrated our 10 years wedding anniversary with this tour. The brisk pace and ability to go and stop as you please was just the right type of tour that we needed to reconnect with one another. The scenery was lovely and towns we passed through allowed for some wonderful lunches. |

My husband agreed to be my "domestique" during a wonderful three-day ride in Provence, for my fiftieth birthday. The October weather was perfect -- warm and sunny -- the countryside was lovely to see on those wonderful back roads, and our appetite for the food and wine were enhanced by the rides! We can't wait to return.
This was our best vacation ever, but I'm no photographer. My little phone photos aren't good enough to upload. Maybe next year! |

| We cycled in late April. While the lavender was not in bloom, the temperature was perfect and the Mistral behind us most days. Days were spent cycling on small roads along the Rhône, through vineyards, and the occasional mountain pass. It was wonderful. |

| Tuscany - customized tour |
| by Mark Davis |
All 3 hotels were great, just in different ways. Hotel Cisterna was very convenient; Romanita's B&B had a fantastic view of Radda, and Il Rondo Albergo was very charming (although not conveniently located)
The restaurants and rental bikes used were excellent.
This was our second tour through Cyclomundo. We had such a good experience with the first one that there really wasn't much of a doubt that we would go through Cyclomundo for the second one after we found out that trips were available in Tuscany. |
