Since 1910, the French Pyrenees have been a monumental landmark of one of the most amazing sporting events in history.  Today, the Tour de France pros are still annually spinning legends on the same roads…and they aren’t the only ones to have a go at it this year!

In celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Tour de France in the Pyrenees, this year’s Etape du Tour will feature the same celebratory route as one of the most crucial Pyrenean stages of the Tour de France.  And just as we’ve done since 2003, Cyclomundo is proud to invite you to this special event in 2010 with various package options.

Taking place between Pau and Tourmalet, the 2010 Etape du Tour offers you the chance to take part in a mass participation cyclosportive event along the same route that the pros will ride just days later.  From the adrenaline rush of a quick start to the roaring encouragement of surrounding fans, you’ll battle commemorative Tour de France legends such as: Col du Soulor,Col de Marie-Blanque, incorporated in the race for the first time in 1978; and the famous Col du Tourmalet, the highest road in the central Pyrenees which has been included more than any other pass. 

Whether competing against others, yourself or the clock, the Etape du Tour 2010 is a perfect chance to conquer these legends for yourself just before the pros do!

For the 2010 Etape du Tour, we will again offer the following packages: _

This package includes 4-night accommodations (3 nights near the starting point, 1 night near the finish), daily dinner, transfer from your arrival airport to your hotel on arriva day, from your hotel to departure airport on departure day, luggage and bicycle cases transfer, Etape viewing and roadside picnic for non-riders, secure bicycle storage facilities, ride (guided or self-guided), guide/mechanic services, all tax and service charges.

This package includes a 100-euro credit to be used against:

- Our Geneva to Alpe d'Huez trip (cost per person starts at 695 euros)
- Our Marmotte package (cost per person starts at 460 euros)
