Ever dreamed of riding a stage of the Tour de France?
The 2006 Etape du Tour--France's most prestigious cyclosportive--will
take place between Gap and Alpe d'Huez on July 10, 2006. Mythic climbs
such as Izoard, Lautaret, and Alpe d'Huez will make this event an exceptional
one to ride. This cyclosportive--an organized, mass-timed cycling event--is the public version of a stage from the Tour de France. The appeal of Etape du Tour is that it enables seasoned cyclists and weekend warriors to ride an actual stage from the Tour de France just days prior to when the world's elite test themselves.
The Etape du Tour enjoys ultimate status,
ranking as the most prestigious cyclosportive in all of Europe. It is
organized by the ASO (Amaury Sport Organization), the same group that
organizes the Tour de France. Additionally, we will run an"Etape
and Marmotte Route Reconnaissance" May 26 thru June 2, 2006
as well as a number of self-guided
tours in the Alpe d'Huez area that can be done at any time between
May and October. |
