Ever dreamed of riding a stage of the Tour de France?

Etape du Tour took place in the Pyrenees in 2005. 8,500 cyclists took part in this event.

The 2006 Etape du Tour--France's most prestigious cyclosportive--will take place between Gap and Alpe d'Huez on July 10, 2006. Mythic climbs such as Izoard, Lautaret, and Alpe d'Huez will make this event an exceptional one to ride.

This cyclosportive--an organized, mass-timed cycling event--is the public version of a stage from the Tour de France. The appeal of Etape du Tour is that it enables seasoned cyclists and weekend warriors to ride an actual stage from the Tour de France just days prior to when the world's elite test themselves.

2006 Etape finishes at the top of the mythic climb of Alpe d'HuezRiders enjoy police escorts along routes that are closed to traffic and supplied with frequent water and food stations. Locals from many of the towns along the designated routes add to the experience by appearing in mass and cheering on the riders.

The Etape du Tour enjoys ultimate status, ranking as the most prestigious cyclosportive in all of Europe. It is organized by the ASO (Amaury Sport Organization), the same group that organizes the Tour de France.

We organize several packages to choose from as well as customized programs for groups and cycling clubs.

Additionally, we will run an"Etape and Marmotte Route Reconnaissance" May 26 thru June 2, 2006 as well as a number of self-guided tours in the Alpe d'Huez area that can be done at any time between May and October.
