Every meal feels like a feast in Burgundy. Its almost as if its chefs
realize gastronomy is the word
astronomy with the letter "g," motivating them to create out
of this world tastes. Chaource cheese, jambon persille (ham-it sounds
more dramatic in French), and Dijon mustard are just a few examples
which make this region so famous for catering to the sense of taste
that we are convinced even its air possesses calories. And oh yes, did
we mention wine?
Located in the center of France's famous wine country, Burgundy may

the palate purposes. Some of the world's
greatest vintages originate from here and include Pommard, Meursault,
Gevrey Chambertin, Nuits-St-Georges, and Montrachet. Add in a romantic
mix of pastoral villages along sleepy canals and mind-staggering architecture
such as the Cathedrale St Etienne in Auxerre, and the Basilique Ste
Madeleine in Vezelay and it is easy to understand the popularity of
these tours.
