If you hunger for mountain passes, and want to do as many as possible in a certain period of time in addition to admiring breathtaking scenery, then this is the tour for you. Mythic climbs such as Alpe d'Huez and Croix-de-Fer will be followed by some lesser known passes (Col du Proncel, Col de la Chau) often favoured by the organizers of the Tour de France. This tour can be combined with our Mythic Tour de France Alpine Climbs. |

| Day 1: Oisans Loop
(various options) You will be provided with few suggestions for today's tour. Our favorite is a 60 km (38 miles) ride that will take you on quiet roads with breathtaking views over the Oisans area and the nearby mountain peaks, Longer rides will be suggested should you wish to cover more ground. Dinner and overnight at your hotel. |

Day 2: Oz-en-Oisans - La Mure (57 km or 35 miles; 5750 vertical

| Day 3: La Mure -
Villard-de-Lans (115 km or 72 miles, 3800 vertical ft) The majestic Vercors will be the theater of today's ride passing over the Col de Comboire (alt 1300 ft) and the Col de la Croix Perrin (alt 3600 ft). We will end up in the heart of the Vercors region. Dinner and overnight in Villard-de-Lans. |

| Day 4: Vercors Loop
(61 miles, 3550 vertical ft) An exceptional day in the Vercors region will conclude this alpine tour. It's a magnificent ride on a road carved through the rocky mountain. The challenges of the Col de Proncel (alt 3300 ft), the Col de la Chau (alt 3900 ft), and the Col de la Machine (alt 3360 ft) will bring this memorable mountain-pass tour to an end. |
