We invite you to stop by Pech-Merle on your last day to experience a truly moving and memorable tour of a 25,000 year old "art gallery" frozen in time! Medieval castles are too many to count.

Needless to say, the scenery is varied and splendid. This trip is done on quiet roads and easy terrain that are perfect for family vacations.

After every turn a castle is in sight: Chateau de Montfort, Chateau de Fenelon as well as many Roman churches of interest. You will soon reach Souillac and its abbey. You have now left the area known as "The Perigord Noir" and entered the Lot region known for its gastronomy. Something you will discover at dinner. Overnight in Souillac

Day 3: Souillac - Rocamadour (29 km or 18 miles)
Your itinerary will take you to the Parc Naturel Regional des Causses du Quercy (Regional Park of Quercy) where the scenery and architecture are very different than everything you've seen so far on this trip. Quaint castles and caves are welcome stops (Grottes de Lacave) before climbing to one of France's most beautiful site: Rocamadour--where you will dine and overnight.

Day 4: Rocamadour - Labastide-Murat- Today's mileage: 32 km (20 miles)
On the Gramat plateau, you'll be astonished by the small and quaint villages. Day 6: Saint-Cirq-Lapopie - Saint-Cirq-Lapopie (40 km or 24 miles)
