Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Souillac

Located on the Dordogne river, the pretty city of Souillac will be your starting point. It is also conveniently located whether you arrive by train or by car. There you will be welcomed by our local expert who will brief you on the itinerary and hand you all the necessary materials and equipment. Dinner and overnight in Souillac.
Day 2: Souillac - Gluges (28 km or 17 miles)

After breakfast, let the Dordogne river be your guide and discover some of the treasures that make this area so appealing to history buffs and nature lovers: the castles of Treyne, Belcastel, the Lacave grottoes, not to mention the pretty villages along the river. Dinner and overnight in Gluges.
Day 3: Gluges - Saint Céré (27 km or 17 miles)

The Dordogne will again show you the way towards Saint-Céré. So many places are worth a stop, a visit, and more depending on your interest: the lovely village of Carennac, labeled "One of France's prettiest," the castles of Castelnau, of Montal, the grottoes of Presque, les Tours Saint Laurent. Dinner and overnigt in Saint Céré.
Day 4: Day of many options

A day to relax. We invite you to take a stroll through Saint Céré and discover its richness. You may also use that day to ride a short loop and discover Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne, a magnificent site with remarkable medieval monuments. Dinner and overnight in Saint Céré.
Day 5: Saint-Céré - Rocamadour (41 km or 25 miles)

After leaving the valley, Autoire and Loubressac, two villages that belong to the selected few "One of France's Prettiest Villages" Club are yours to discover, then it's on to the Padirac abyss for a journey to the center of the earth, a memorable experience (make sure you bring a raincoat that day). Rocamadour and its exceptional site will top off this memorable day.
Day 6: Day of many options

Photogenic Rocamadour and its treasures are yours to discover unless you prefer to do a short ride to Gramat and its "Causse."
Day 7: Rocamadour - Souillac (27 km or 17 miles)

Our suggested way back to Souillac will take you through the Ouisse Valley, by the Cougnaguet Mill before reaching Calès, a Quercy village and a perfect viewpoint over the causses (the plateaux). From there, the river Dordogne will show you the way to Souillac. Dinner and overnight in Souillac.
