At the end of each stage, indulge in the pleasure of savoring the rich flavors and aromas of our food and wines.

Itinerary

D1Arrive in Collioure

Welcome to Collioure, a charming little Catalan town on the French side of the border.  Among many others, artists like Matisse and Derain were captivated by its stunning surroundings. With terraced vineyards flowing from the mountains to the sea, take a leisurely stroll along its charming cobbled streets, explore its art galleries, and don't miss the chance to enjoy its beautiful beaches and breathtaking panoramas.

D2From Collioure to Banyuls 24km/ 15 mi, 510 meters/ 1,673 ft of climbing

Our itinerary will take you through a colorful painting of mountains, vineyards, and pristine coves. The ride does involve some climbing, but you'll be rewarded tenfold! The views are magnificent. For Coll de la Sera, you'll enjoy a panoramic view over the coastline. And just a few kilometers away, before you reach your hotel, you can relax and rejuvenate by taking a refreshing dip in the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea. In the evening, make sure to enhance your dinner experience by savoring a glass of Banyuls, the renowned locally-produced wine.

D3Loop from Banyuls 26km/ 16 mi, 710 meters/ 2,329ft of climbing

You can very well skip our loop and enjoy a relaxing day by the Sea… if you choose to do so, skip the next few lines or you're bound to regret your decision! The short 25 km ride is packed with things to see and do… You'll enjoy vineyards, amazing views, and beaches. The day ends with a wine tasting hosted by a local family of winemakers, whose passion for their craft is as deep as the roots of their ancient vines. The evening is yours to explore, relax, and reflect on the day’s treasures.

D4From Banyuls to Port de la Selva 46km/ 28 mi, 840 meters/ 2,756 ft of climbing

Unlike the touristy crowds stuck in traffic when passing the French - Spanish border, we'll ride to Spain following peaceful roads where cars are outnumbered by cyclists and hikers ! After passing Coll de Banyuls (currently closed to motor vehicles), you'll continue your journey south, and along the way, you'll come across the impressive Monasterio de Sant Quirze de Colera nestled in the Albères mountains. The challenging part of your ride is almost over. The last 10 kms are a lot less taxing. Before you know it, you'll be cycling by the sea all the way to your final destination, the picturesque village of Port de la Selva.

D5From Port de la Selva to Cadaques 18km/ 11mi, 390 meters/ 1,280 ft of climbing

Leaving Port de la Selva behind, you'll soon be climbing towards Cadaques, your final destination. The steady climb during the first part of your ride is a colorful one.  Surrounded by nature, you'll enjoy views over the coastline riding on to Cadaques–with the welcome help of gravity– an absolute gem!  The ride is short enough that you can expect to be there for lunch which you can enjoy by the sea.  The postcard-perfect village of Cadaqués is your home for the next 2 days.  You'll soon discover why this place has been a retreat for artists and dreamers.  The most famous being Salvador Dali

D6Loop from Cadaques : Cap del Creus 27km/ 17 mi, 640 meters/ 2,100 ft of climbing

Good morning!  Another exciting day!  Get ready to explore stunning coves, ancient paths, and the awe-inspiring Cape that will make you feel like you're at the edge of the world. Feel free to plan your day as you please: you can pack a lunch and enjoy a picnic by the sea, or you can choose to have lunch at the lighthouse restaurant with its breathtaking view of the sea. In the afternoon, visit our favorite coves, where you can stop and enjoy a refreshing swim.  Regardless of the way you organize yourself, make sure to visit Dali's house in Portlligat - it's a must-see!
