For most of us French riders who grew up with cycling and the Tour de France, the Alps are customarily defined by their climbs rather than by their peaks: Galibier, Aravis, Saisies, Madeleine, Alpe d'Huez, Croix de Fer are more meaningful to us than Massif des Bauges, Chartreuse, Vercors, or Queyras.
Our Alps cycling trip Geneva to Alpe d'Huez was awarded "the 2011 Trip of the Year" title by Outside Magazine.
We've done these climbs, ridden these roads and mapped out amazing rides. Using the diversity of the French Alps as a backdrop--snow-capped peaks, glaciers, green fields, and crystal-clear lakes--we can design anything you want. For individuals or small groups who want to travel on their own, we offer a wide range of self-guided vacations; for those who prefer to be escorted by a local cyclist, we can design your dream trip... Just ask us.
We also take groups to view some of the world's biggest cycling events in the area or to participate in some of the Alps' most prestigious cyclosportives and Gran Fondos such as the Etape du Tour and the Marmotte.
Of all our challenging tours, our award-winning trip Geneva to Alpe d'Huez will allow you to do some of the most famous climbs in the Alps: Colombiere, Aravis, Saisies, Madeleine, Telegraphe, Galibier, and Alpe d'Huez!
Cycling the Alps is not necessarily challenging! We also offer some spectacular leisurely self-guided tours that leave riders breathless (from the views). These take place on flat terrain following the valleys. Of special interest are our 3-Lake Cycling tour that takes riders from Lake Geneva to Lac du Bourget and Lake Annecy (a visually exceptional ride!) and our Via Rhona tour that follows the Rhone river from Geneva to Lyon. It makes the most of the almost completed traffic-free bike route "the Via Rhona" that links Lake Geneva to the Mediterranean Sea.
In the Alps--more than any other region where we operate--we organize many custom tours for groups of 6 and more. We cater to cycling clubs, groups of friends, families, etc.... These tours can be guided or self-guided.
